# Common Errors & Troubleshooting

### Why didn't my trade copy to the slave account?

When a trade is placed on the master account but fails to copy to the slave, it is typically due to one of the following reasons:

#### 1. The Copier or Slave is Disabled

* **Cause:** If the copier configuration or individual slave was switched off or paused, incoming trades will not replicate.

* **Solution:** Navigate to the **Copier Engine** section in your dashboard and check the **Status** toggle to verify it is switched **ON**. Also make sure the individual toggle for your slave account is enabled.

#### 2. Symbol Mismatch (Broker Symbol Naming Differences)

* **Cause:** Brokers often use different naming conventions for identical instruments (for example, one broker uses `DE40` while another uses `GER40`, or adds suffixes like EURUSD.pro vs. `EURUSD`).

* **Solution:** Set up **Symbol Mapping**:

    1. In the **Copier Engine** configuration screen, locate your slave account.
    2. Click the **Symbol Mapping** icon next to the slave.
    3. Enter the exact master symbol under **Copy From** (e.g., `DE40`) and the slave broker's symbol under **Copy To** (e.g., `GER40`).
    4. Save the mapping so incoming master orders translate automatically to the slave broker's symbol.

#### 3. Symbol Disabled on Account

* **Cause:** If an instrument is disabled in your trading account settings, our system will intentionally ignore any trades placed on that symbol.

* **Solution:** Go to **Account Configuration**, select **Edit** on your account, and open **Trading Symbols**. Check that the instrument you want to trade is enabled.

#### 4. Invalid Volume (Lot Size Constraints)

* **Minimum Lot Size Not Met:** If your risk or lot multiplier settings calculate a volume below the broker's minimum allowable trade size (typically 0.01 lots), the broker rejects the order.
    * *Fix:* Enable the **Force minimum lot size** option on your slave settings. This ensures any trade calculating below the broker's minimum threshold will be pushed at the minimum allowed volume.

* **Maximum Lot Size Exceeded:** If the calculated lot size exceeds the maximum order volume permitted by your broker for that symbol, the broker will reject the order. Review your risk calculation settings and lot multipliers to ensure orders remain within broker specifications.
    * *Fix:* Enable the **Force maximum lot size** option on your slave settings. This ensures any trade calculating above the broker's maximum threshold will be pushed at the maximum allowed volume.
