Copier Error Codes

If a trade does not copy successfully, the relevant entry in Copier Logs may show an error message. Use the information below to understand common Copier errors and the action you can take.

Copier Configuration Errors

Symbol Deactivated or Mapped Incorrectly

This error usually means that the symbol from the Master account is not available or has not been mapped correctly on the Slave account.

For example, the Master may trade EURUSD, while the Slave broker uses EURUSD.e8. In this case, create a Symbol Mapping from EURUSD to EURUSD.e8.

For more information, see Symbol Mapping.

Trade Is Disabled

This error can occur for one of two reasons:

  • The symbol may need to be mapped to the correct symbol on the Slave account.
  • Trading may be disabled by the broker for the relevant account or symbol.

First, check whether the symbol is mapped correctly. If the mapping is correct, try placing a trade directly from your trading platform. If trading is unavailable there too, contact your broker for assistance.

Broker and Market Errors

Market Closed

This means the broker is not accepting trades for that market at the time of the request.

This may happen when:

  • The market is closed, such as over a weekend.
  • The broker temporarily pauses trading during swap hours.

The Copier will retry the trade over a 15-minute period. If the broker continues to reject the order, the trade will be recorded as failed.

Invalid Volume

This error means the copied lot size is either below the broker’s minimum permitted lot size or above its maximum permitted lot size.

Check your risk settings and the calculated lot size.

  • If the lot size is below the broker minimum, consider enabling Force Minimum Lot Size.
  • If the lot size is above the broker maximum, consider enabling Force Maximum Lot Size or reducing your risk setting.

Invalid Price

This can occur when copying pending orders between brokers with different market prices.

For example, a pending order price that is valid with the Master broker may already be on the wrong side of the market price with the Slave broker.

To avoid this, disable Copy Pending Orders. When the Master pending order is filled, the Copier will instead place the Slave trade as a market order.

Invalid S/L or T/P

This means the broker cannot accept the Stop Loss or Take Profit price requested for the Slave trade.

This can occur when the copied price is invalid relative to the Slave broker’s current market price.

To avoid this, disable Copy Stop Loss and/or Copy Take Profit. The Slave trade will then close when the Copier processes the Master’s close event, at the available market price.

Off Quotes

This means the broker could not provide a price to fill the order.

It can occur when:

  • The broker is temporarily not accepting trades.
  • Liquidity is low.
  • The broker cannot fill the requested order size.

The Copier will retry the order multiple times.

Requote

A requote means the broker could not execute the order at the requested price.

This commonly happens during high market volatility, including around major news events, when prices move quickly. The Copier will retry the order multiple times.

No Money / Not Enough Money

This error means the Slave account does not have enough available margin to open the requested trade size.

To resolve this, either:

  • Reduce the copied trade size by adjusting the risk setting; or
  • Ensure the Slave account has sufficient available margin.

Ticket Not Found / Order Not Found

These messages mean the Copier tried to update or close a Slave trade or order that no longer exists.

For example:

  • The Slave trade may have already been closed by its own Stop Loss or Take Profit before the Master position closed.
  • The original Master trade may have failed to copy, but was later modified or closed.
