# Copier Status

The **Status** setting controls whether trades are copied for a Master Copier and its connected Slave accounts.

You can manage status at both levels in the **Copier Engine**:

* **Master status:** Controls copying for every Slave connected to that Master.
* **Slave status:** Controls copying for that individual Slave only.

To check or change a status, open **Copier Engine** and use the toggle in the **Status** column next to the relevant Master or Slave account.

## Enabled

When enabled, the copier will process trade activity from the Master and copy it to enabled Slave accounts according to the configured copier settings.

## Disabled – Monitor Existing

When set to **Disabled – Monitor Existing**, the copier will ignore newly opened trades on the Master account.

However, trades that were already copied to the Slave before the status was changed will continue to be monitored. If the Master closes one of those existing trades, the corresponding Slave trade will also be closed.

## Disabled

When disabled, the copier will ignore all trade activity for that Copier or Slave. No new trades will be copied, and existing copied trades will not be monitored for closure.

> **Note:** Disabling a Master affects every Slave attached to it. Disabling an individual Slave affects only that Slave.
