Introduction to Dedicated Environments
Introduction to Dedicated Environments
A Dedicated Environment is an infrastructure add-on that runs your trading accounts on isolated, dedicated hardware with a unique private IP address and a dedicated Machine ID. This prevents shared IP overlap across multiple accounts and minimizes execution latency, making it ideal for traders managing strict prop firm evaluation or funded rules.
What It Is
By default, Traders Connect operates on a shared cloud network. On shared servers, trading accounts run inside shared container environments that draw from a collective pool of IP addresses.
When you activate a Dedicated Environment:
- Isolated Cloud Hardware: Your accounts are isolated on dedicated physical cloud hardware rather than shared host environments.
- Unique Static IP: Your account receives an exclusive private IP address.
- Unique Machine ID: Your connection generates a private hardware identifier, ensuring no footprint overlap with other Traders Connect users.
Prerequisites
- An active Traders Connect account.
- A base CFD or Futures subscription plan (the Dedicated Environment is an infrastructure add-on and does not function as a standalone plan).
How It Works With Your Account
- Slave Accounts: When trades copy to your slave accounts, broker logs see only your private dedicated UK IP address and dedicated Machine ID (provided the terminal is not kept open on your local computer or mobile device).
- Master Accounts: Manual trades placed on your local PC or phone will display your local internet IP for the order entry, while the Traders Connect Dedicated Environment maintains its connection via your dedicated IP to replicate the order.
Conclusion
The Dedicated Environment is an add-on to your base subscription that lets you connect accounts to dedicated hardware and an IP address. Master and slave accounts can both connect to it, with the IP details shown above.
