Manage Trading Symbols

The Trading Symbols management screen allows you to control which symbols are active for an individual connected trading account.

You can also view minimum and maximum lot sizes for any instrument on that account.

Access Account Trading Symbols

In the left navigation sidebar select the ACCOUNT CONFIGURATION heading.

Locate the trading account you want to configure in your accounts list.

Click the Edit action on that account to open its configuration settings, then navigate to the Trading Symbols tab.

Enable or Disable Trading Symbols

Each instrument retrieved from your broker is displayed in the symbols table with an active toggle.

To prevent an account from taking trades on a specific instrument, switch the toggle next to that symbol to Disabled.

When a symbol is disabled on an account, any incoming copier trade for that symbol will be blocked by the engine for that account.

To resume trading on that instrument, switch the toggle back to Enabled.

Override Minimum and Maximum Lot Sizes

Why Set Custom Lot Limits

Brokers enforce default minimum and maximum trade volumes, but you can set custom limits inside Traders Connect to suit your risk rules.

Select the Symbols to Edit

In the Trading Symbols table, select the checkboxes next to the symbols you wish to modify. You can select an individual symbol or multiple symbols simultaneously.

Click the Edit button located at the bottom of the screen and enter your desired Min Lot and Max Lot values.

If you override the minimum or maximum lot sizes, ensure that you enable Force Minimum Lot Size and Force Maximum Lot Size in your copier settings. This ensures that the overrides are applied correctly during trade execution.

Conclusion

Managing trading symbols at the account level gives you an added safety layer independent of your copier settings.

Use these controls to restrict unwanted instruments and cap trade sizes across all activity on that account.
