Symbol Mapping

Video Tutorial:

Written Tutorial:

In some cases, brokers use different symbol names, for example, the DAX market may be DE40 on broker A, but GER40 on broker B. Therefore, these would require mapping in order for trades not to fail.

Our platform will attempt to automatically map trading symbols where possible, currently on Forex pairs. For Indices, Stocks, etc with different names you will need to map them manually on our advanced mapping screen found here.

We're working to make our automated mapping more advanced, with a goal to eventually map 99% of trading symbols automatically.

Mismatch Detected

If you see a warning upon copier creation that we have detected a mismatch on your trading symbols, this means your broker offers more than one symbol option, and you must select the symbol you use to trade.

If you see this warning, you should select the suffix that you trade, for example, EXAMPLE.mini in the above screenshot means you would trade EURUSD.mini (as an example). If you trade EURUSD, simply select EXAMPLE. If you select the wrong suffix, do not worry, you can update this later on the advanced mapping screen.

If you're unsure which suffix you trade, you should check in MetaTrader directly, or speak with your broker.

Advanced Symbol Mapping

Our advanced mapping screen allows you to manage your existing mapped symbols and map new symbols. It's important users understand the use case of this feature.

Master

This is your master trading account that you copy from.

Slave

This is your slave trading account that you copy to, select the account you wish to edit.

Filter Symbols

This allows you to filter trading symbols by group, I.E Forex or CFD.

Auto Mapping

The Auto Mapping button found at the top will attempt to automatically map your trading symbols (currently only for forex). If successful, your mapped symbols will appear on the right hand side. If you receive a successful response, but do not see any mapped symbols on the right hand side, it's likely you do not need to map any symbols as they use the same name.

Should you see the suffix screen appear, select the suffix you use to trade and hit continue.

Unmapped Symbols

On the left side you will see the Unmapped Symbols, this showing you all of your symbols that currently have no mapping. You can easily search and map the required symbols.

Mapped Symbols

On the right side you will see all of your current symbol mappings, allowing you to easily edit any existing mappings, delete the mapping, etc.

Delete All Mapped Symbols

This button to the right of Mapped Symbols will delete all of your current symbol mappings with a single click. Note, this cannot be undone, if you delete your mappings you will need to recreate them.
