Room Member Guide

Overview

A Room Member can join a TC Room after being invited by the Room Manager. Depending on the role assigned to you, you may be able to view the Room or connect your own account to the Room Manager’s master account for trade copying.

You remain responsible for your own account, copier configuration and risk settings,

Joining a Room

1. Provide the Room Manager with the email address registered to your Traders Connect account so they can issue your invitation and allocate your seat.
2. Once invited, navigate to the Rooms portal (rooms.tradersconnect.com) and log in with your Traders Connect credentials
3. Once logged in, you will be inside the Room's portal with your assigned role (Viewer, Copier or Manager) and allocated account capacity ready to use. 

The options available to you depend on the role assigned by the Room Manager.

Understanding Your Room Role

A Room Manager may assign one of the following roles:

Viewer
A Viewer can access the Room and view available Room information, such as previous trades. A Viewer cannot connect an account or copy trades.

Copier
A Copier can connect an account and add it as a slave to the Room Manager’s master account, allowing trades to be copied according to the configured copier settings.

Manager
A Manager can add a master account and may have additional Room-management permissions.

Connecting an Account

If you have been assigned the Copier role:

1. Open the Room.
2. Go to Account Configuration.
3. Add or select the account you want to use.
4. Open Copier Engine.
5. Connect your account to the Room Manager’s master account as a slave.
6. Review the copier configuration before enabling copying.

The number and type of accounts you can connect depend on the seats allocated to you by the Room Manager.

Reviewing Your Copier Settings

You can manage the copier settings for your own connected account. These may include settings such as:

• Copier configuration
• Symbol mapping
• Copier templates
• Equity-protection settings
• Copy logs

Review your settings carefully before enabling copying.

Important Information

• Traders Connect provides the technology and connectivity used by TC Rooms.

• Traders Connect is not a broker, investment adviser, or investment manager.

• You decide whether to join a Room and whether to enable copying.

• Copying results may differ from the Room Manager’s results because of factors such as account settings, spreads, fees, slippage, latency, and broker execution.

• Trading involves a high level of risk, and you may lose some or all of the money in your account.
